Yes we had a little issue with the brakets at first, but that was sorted asap. We didnt seed as we are a brand new league, but will be doing so in future cups. Other than that, most games ran very smoothly.

@Ryn "most games ran very smoothly."

Except for the ones that didn't. And except for the fact that if we wouldn't have been paying attention half the teams would have been trying to play against the wrong people. And except for the fact that the information came out 2 hours before the first matches giving little time to prepare. And except for the fact that you manually pitted some of the top EU teams against low rated teams instead of giving them the W/O's allowing the teams to at least play a match in the tourney before meeting the top players.

My point, try to organize it better next time. :) Edited 1 times - last by Sweden Senatic

@Senatic - This being our first HoN tournament, we didn't really know what to expect from it and lessons have certainly been learned, we'll be getting some more experienced HoN admins into our staff (I'm a complete newbie when it comes to HoN and take full responsibility for the seeding blunder).

One of the main problems we've had this time around was that we're still just a week old and we're certainly not on anyone's map yet - getting people to sign up has been hard work and this meant we wanted to try and leave the cup open for people to join as long as possible before closing it. This obviously isn't ideal as it meant I didn't have very much time to make the brackets, in future we'll be more likely to fill the tournament long before the actual tournament date - leaving us much more time to sort out seedings and match the teams more effectively.

On the whole I think general reception was good, and personally I was very impressed with the maturity and general good spirit from the HoN community (a lot of other communities don't compare!).

I'll fix any mistakes we make as best as I can, and hopefully you'll forgive us for any more that we do make while we're still in our infancy!

@paradox Don't get me wrong I, and I'm sure everyone else, really appreciates you hosting this tournament, and as long as you learn and don't make the same mistakes the next time around it's all good.

Good luck in the future!

Noone expects perfect seedings from a new tournament with only 1½ to make them. I'm just glad you corrected the brackets at least a little. I would like to support the view of Senatic as i hope you look into seeds in the future - at least by finding the top 8 teams and putting them in different brackets. You could also look into the whole PSR-deal since it's somewhat useful for unknown teams (if you got a 1600 average team signing up you can be pretty sure they not as good as a 1800 average team).

Looking foward for tonight.

There's only one thing I want to nag just a bit about.
Giving the teams a chance to bring in unregisterd accounts in the last second is both unfair and unreasonable. Please don't do this ever again.

On the other hand, nicely done, but getting someone with basic knowledge about how HoN works would increase the standard of this tournament.

I wish you best of luck tonight and tomorrow,

/Galanty

Cheer's Norway Galanty, Next time we should have the cup fixtures sorted way before the games are ment to be played. The only reason we let people use unticked players and unregisterd players is because we would of only ended up with very few teams, as most teams didnt bother getting their whole team signed up. Next time this won't happen, and im glad you pointed that out =]
