Hello everyone,

I'd like to share an iOS app that I've just finished developing called RCON HQ. Think it could be useful for quite a few people here.

Basically, it lets you monitor and admin game servers from your iphone. Been using it myself for a while now to admin our war servers and a few publics, and it's very handy indeed !

You can see the server info, current map, number of players etc, see the player list, open a player's steam profile, kick or ban them.

You can also access the server's ban list and unban people, get the maplist and change the map, restart the server, or send any rcon command you want via a console.

It works for CS1.6, CS;CZ, CS:S, DOD, DOD:S, TFC, TF2, L4D2 and HL2DM servers.

Mutix, make a Steam Chat app!! defo useful because you can let your team mates know when your back n stuff! Would defo pay upto 1.99 for it.

Its a great app, have tested it in the beta stages and definitely buying it. If you are a cl, or a org server admin its definitely worth the money.

As for android, If this gets popular on the iPhone there will be a high possibility of porting this to android.

Yea, steam chat is impossible as, like dronee said, they havent made the api public.

Kyanite also has a point, although i would like to think that most developers are honest, the risk remains.

I would just like to point out that RCON HQ app does NOT need your steam details and will never ask for them in any way shape or form.

Version 1.1 has just been released on the App Store with some new features for you:

CUSTOM COMMANDS
- Add custom commands to your servers for a quick access to your favorite commands, without having to type them in the console.

SETTINGS
- Enable / disable kick and ban confirmations.
- Password protect the application so your servers are in safe hands, even when you lend your device to a friend.

I was recently asked by Valve Corporation to change the name and logo of the app, so SourceHQ is now known as RCON HQ and has a new logo.

Just a heads up that version 2.0 is now available on the App Store :)

New features include:

- Backup and restore your server list and custom commands !
- Reorder your server list
- Settings are now in-app
- Reorganisation of tabs and menus
- Privacy Policy

- Bug fixed for rcon passwords with special characters
- Bug fixed for some rcon commands that crashed app
- Other minor bug fixes
