i just got a widescreen monitor, 23" LCD LG W2361V, with a native resolution of 1920x1080.

my question is, how come with this resolution everything seems vertically stretched. i opened up protoshop and made a 500x500 canvas, but it doesnt look square. is this meant to happen?

would be nice if someone could help, thx :).

Gb  Zoniccc Ok a honnest reply, your 23" monitor is probably a 16:10 aspect ratio, and your trying to use a 16:9 resolution.
