DOTA2 will not need to go to free2play. Baring in mind most hon/lol players are waiting for this game instead. As they had much preferred DOTA as a game. With companies buying DOTA 2 teams for $6.4million already and tournaments with a prize pool of $1.6million do you really think they will want to make it free to play? With money like that getting invested into it?

 IV Happens every time the game goes on sale for £2 anyway.

Shouldn't be a problem though, there's a plugin that stops F2P people from connecting to your server on TF2. Should be easy enough to port over to CS:S.
