So I just watched the Awakening, the 2011 released movie, and OK, I totally didn't see that ending coming, but what's confusing me still, is she alive, or did she die then? I mean no body seemed to notice her as she was walking through the school, only the main guy who we've established see's ghosts anyway, and one of the reject kids at the end she says hello to. But right at the end the 2 boys and the old guy didnt seem to notice her as she says hello to them, and when the boy is tying his shoes laces the camera pans to show the main alive guy walk past but not her?

Having read that, i want to watch it now ;o

I must admit I was a little sceptical at first watching the trailer, but I had an hour or two to spare so thought I'd give it a watch. Must say it was not a waste of my time at all. Obviously with movies EVERYBODY has a different opinion and I'm not even going to suggest mine is correct, but if you like a good thriller (I'd class it as) then check it out, hopefully you'l enjoy it as much as I did....

But i gotta say shes alive , its very cleverly done to make you believe that she did die but the last scene is of her waiting for her car to take her back home where she says something like " ill walk down to the end of the drive " or something like that. I think the old man is just ignoring her as hes a complete knobcheese anyway.

I just watched "The Awakening" (2011) and I’m still puzzled by the ending. Is she alive or dead? No one seemed to notice her walking through the school except for the main guy, who can see ghosts, and one of the kids she greets at the end. However, the two boys and the old man didn’t seem to acknowledge her when she said hello.
