So basically came home and turned on my pc, it launched up perfectly and I opened chrome to surf, then it froze up and shut it down and started it up again, it loaded up perfectly up until the point of the "Starting windows" screen, where it just stops.

It has happened a couple of times before, and once took it to repair where they found out apparently it was the cooling for the graphics card, it didn't happen again since that time, which was about 8 months ago, so basically wondering if anyone here knows anyone that has had this problem and/or knows any fixes for it without having to take it to the repairs again.

Hopefully someone can help :D

My only alternative suggestion is that Windows has been corrupted on your Hard Drive and can't boot

Tried repairing the windows already, is there any point in formatting if the hard drives work (in safe mode that is) :P?

Did you run a disk check to check the hard drive and its sectors?

Well if it was the graphics card that caused the problem then try doing them. I had kind of the same problem, it would get past the "Windows is loading" part as it would go to the log in screen, itwould just stay black. New graphics card fixed that.

if you have more than 2 sticks of ram take one out boot up, if you still get the same repeat with the other(s) stick of ram

Yeah, ty bro will do that.

But it just started up (it sometimes does randomly after like 50 times restarting it) taking it to the repair shop when I have the money, this computer is staying on the entire time meanwhile :P

Only one as far as I'm aware, haven't done anything to it since I bought it.

Usually when your graphics card is having problems it is very obvious and will beep and scream at you before it shuts down your PC for overheating (which is what would happen if your cooling is bust).

Download the free version of WhoCrashed here (http://www.resplendence.com/downloads) and see if it pulls anything up, if not, well, at least we've narrowed it down a little and it's nothing in your face obvious.

Does your computer make any noises at all before it does this? Does it seem to be warmer than usual?

If it launches in safe-mode but freezes the rest of the time I'd be tempted to suspect software rather than hardware.

Also lol, repair places, in my experience, are usually conartists who overcharge you for really simple fixes to make a quick buck.

Your computer doesn't wanna start cause it knows how much of a bad gamer you are.

So it feels embarrassed when you play it so it doesn't let you anymore its had enough.

Will download that program later on, the fan does seem to go up a bit then it usually does but it has done that before with it working so can't really say, and it always makes three beeps before the windows is starting screen (monitor, keyboard and mouse I presume since it makes less sounds when I unplug stuff from it)

I wouldn't know if it was colder or warmer than normal to be honest :)

And yeah I have the feeling that the stuff that is going in my computer is super easy, but I did go to a nice place who charged me pretty cheap for the last stop.

I virus scan it like once a week with a paid subscription of stop-sign which doesn't find anything but who knows.

And yeah there is no obvious beep that hasn't been there before or isn't familiar :)

If it's not generating any crash dumps for WhoCrashed to pick up, I'm not sure where you should troubleshoot next.

If the last guys said it was your graphics card, do you have an old one you can slam in and see if it works fine then? That'd be a good way of writing out your graphics card as the problem for sure if the problem reappears when you put it back in...

You installed any software recently around the time the problem hit you? Anything similar this time to last time?

Nope don't have any graphics card I can grab and put it in, wouldn't even know how to to be honest and I know they are delicate piece of hardware so I wouldn't try it my self :P

And I haven't installed anything in the past month not since I formatted like 3 months ago.

You'd be surprised at how undelicate graphics cards, and a lot of computer parts are, I've had some mighty fights to slam things into the right ports.

Working with computers is a bit like Science in that way, you need to go through the 500,000,000 ways that don't work to bring you closer to the 1 that does. =P

Best to start out small with computer problems rather than tearing everything apart in search of big monsters to discover that it's something simple.

Sometimes if you update ur windows the day before it goes to a black screen after the windows loading screen. (to install the update)

This might be what u think as an error but it will go over after sometimes 10min sometimes 30 sometimes 1hr depending on which updates.
