My steam account was working normally yesterday but i come on today to find my steam account has be disabled...

I went on steam support and they said it could be due to buying/sharing accs/ hacked accs/ fake steam.exes/gift forging/payment fraud/acc phising/violating steam user agreement ...

Steam acc weren't baught / shared / hacked / traded
No gift forging
No payment fraud
no acc phising
No violation steam user agreement

But, there was 1 time where i downloaded a file for my friend 2 test it, i have better antivirus than him... i ran in, replaced my steam.exe.. shut it down.. re-launched it and made me sign in again... i didn't let it sign in as my anti virus detected it and removed it ( NOD32 ) - virus causing steam acc disable???

fml, yay for my other steam acc tbh -.-

wasnt in steam folder, self extracting .exe + think it might be due to me having multiple accs to same email :L

Hi, I was on steam the other day playing CS:S happily... and called it a night. went to go on steam the next day and now it says ' Steam account is disabled '
I checked all the possible reasons why and the only reason I can think off is different steam.exe, I didn't know about the steam.exe until my anti virus detected it... it was from a video editing program sent over msn, but it replaced my steam.exe... so I entered my details in as normal and it hit a .net error then my anti virus removed i then repaired steam and carried on playing to find that someone else was on my account so i changed the password after logging back in. I can't remember the CD key as it was over 6yrs ago. My friend also told me that ' Steam account is disabled ' error can be due to having multiple steam accounts with the same contact email address.

Any help?

VAC doesn't alter the steam account getting disabled

not for no reason, unless u read my previous post.

they will, a videoi editing tool isnt intent 2 mess up your steam and steal your acc details... therefore not my fault.

Switch when my acc was hacked lukily it got disabled so he couldnt use therefore when i asked for it and proof of purchase etc they gave it back within 24hrs

you know as it was a steam.exe incident proof of purchase would only decrease the response time of steam support members like told on the ticket issue

Well switch i went back about 1000+ emails to find 1 email saying Your payment has been accepted -.- was bad

Point is you never know you might have it in your inbox lurking somewhere xD

Just ****ing screw at them on Email and demand an explanation for why it got disabled, tis what i did. Got it back the same day :).

i just spoke to them xD and they kept saying send the same thing so i got bored and just forwarded email xD then they go here is your password 65446346673 something like tht xD
