Hi all,

rizeGaming are looking to set up our first public LAN in the new year, potentially in the North of the UK. We're posting around on forums to start with, to try and guage the interest and ask a few questions to help us on our way.

If people could help us out by posting the answers to the questions below, we'd appreciate it alot!

1.) What size Lans are most attractive to you?

30-50 attendants, 50-250, 250-500, 500+

2.) What games would you expect (and want) to be played at the Lan?

e.g. CSGO, Sc2, LoL, Dota2, CoD

3.) How far would you travel for the Lan?

10-25 miles, 25-50, 50+

4.) Is onsite food (cafés, minivans etc) imperative to your attendance?

Y/N

5.) How important is the prizepool? Are you primarily motivated at the prospect of winning money or gear?

Please write a small detail about this last answer if you could.

Thanks Everyone, have a good Christmas!

If you've got LAN hosting experience the number is up to you, for your first event to allow smooth running i would limit the attendance to what you and your admin team can feel comfortable with.

CS:GO Obviously

For me, UK is easy to travel around with coaches trains and public transport being quite good.

Onsite food is always a bonus (Y)

I wouldn't worry about prize pool that much you only need to really worry if your trying to attract the big name teams. for example i would say £25 a ticket 50 Teams, 250 Players making a fund of £6250, what would be reasonable amount to do a prize pool of £1800-£2200. and prizes for 4-6th place would be ideal.

hope this helps slightly
