Since LoL is now in ESL, along with HoN, i was thinking, why doesnt UNGL also add LoL to its ladders and cups. It's debateable about which is the better game but for me there is one big difference between the two; ones free and ones not.

UNGL could quite easily find some admins for cups and ladders and implement it into the ladders, also with the game now being in ESL this could also bring new users to the UNGL userbase, which in my opinion would be a good thing.

What do you think?

(Also this isnt feedback as such but it's something to improve surely?)

Sounds like a good idea; especially with LoL now starting to get accepted in to LAN play. Maybe we could use it to replace one of our other inactive games/ ladders. We'll get the admins chatting over it and see what the outcome is :)

who says we need a sponsor? can just be played for fun. I'm sure alot of people here would play ladder games regardless of sponsored cups. I mean we have enough CSS cups going on here an best we get in ungl is a server but that never stops the fun cups being full

I didnt mean we need a sponsor, UNGL is sponsored by S2 Games and HoNCast and because of the big 'fight' between honners and lollies it could lead to the sponsorship being removed because of the new introduction, however i dont think it would.

I understand what you're saying, all of the cups here have 'virtually' no reward so theres no problem in having a LoL cup/ladder.

Could you talk to S2 and ask if you could give HoN more publicity than LoL, for example 4 HoN cups a month, and only 1 LoL cup, or no LoL cup only ladders? I definitely think that UNGL need to branch into LoL now ESL has picked it up, though, not wanting to mimic everything ESL does they have got the right idea in terms of big userbase etc

Also to add to my point, surely if UNGL users want more demand for LoL than HoN (not saying this is the case) surely you should think about where the loyalties lie? There's nothing saying if you drop S2 as your sponsor you can no longer have HoN cups?

I dont really see how LoL could affect hon that much tbh.

Obviously you would have different admins for both games so the hon cups and coverage would still be as good as they are now and they will only get better as time goes on.

LoL would have to start off slow anyway, so for the time being you are always going to have more coverage of hon and without a sponsor for LoL you wouldnt have nice prize cups like you do for hon untill it grows and maybe gets a sponsor of its own.

Adding LoL i can only see helping UNGL at the end of the day. If a sponsor says they would pull out because you want to add a game to the site they should be ashamed of themselves, you arnt adding LoL because you want to compete with hon, simply because there is interest from a few teams and UNGL would want to cater for them and help expand the site, In turn bringing more teams for all games in.

(This is going on the assumption that S2 games are only event sponsors, not the main ungl website sponsors :P)

hon is dieing very fast, and does this mean you wont support dota 2 when that comes out cause that will be a rival for lol and hon. i find it abit wierd you cant host a game cause of a sponsor that sponsors another game on your site.

this was like a month ago, servers where down for 24hours and the people that played in the last week of that downtime received 350rp, if you think you should have received it try accessing the shop and it may or may not appear. even though EU servers were 24hours down, the US received the same compensation for 4 or so hours downtime...

HoN and LoL are very different in game types, Though you find many people comparing them it brings me great sadness. I've tried both and preferred LoL. I suggest just trying it out for your self, Its not that big of a download and if you play with other people, youll get into it.
