Its still very active :/ I have no problem finding games and gather services that are constantly full. The amount of players on public servers is still high.

The UK 1.6 scene may be dead but isnt UNGL.org more than just a UK scene? For other countries 1.6 remains the better game, at the WCG (World Cyber Games) 1.6 is still the featured game and I haven\'t checked recently but CSS isn\'t even on the WCG website :/

If a leauge was started up, you would certainly attract alot of foreign players that speak english (obviously). I play with around 10 different serbians and they all speak english and would join a league like this if one was open.

Plobble what your missing out on though is the fact; what takes to run that league? UNGL are focusing what is considered the bigger CS game at the moment along with HoN making them UNGL prime attractions; a 1.6 league would indeed be a nice thing to have but runs at a 50/50 rate meaning; it would either be popular or make UNGL look like a dead league before its really began. With the Understanding UNGL is not a UK based attraction it would still struggle to attract a decent amount of ACTIVE 1.6 teams to remain here long enough to start cups/leagues up without hindering the attention away from the \"bigger\" & \"more-played\" games, not to mention taking 3/4 more admin s on board, training them up in a short period of time etc..

In regards to WCG no source is not on their list it was scheduled to be for 2010 but due to the update they were unsure how long the things would last with the glitches and even made an announcement that source will be there in 2011.

@EMPEROR I understand your point, but the amount of teams scanning nearly every website for a ladder is huge!

I think it should be opened up on a trial basis to see how many teams would join, and prehaps after 2 weeks take it down if it isnt popular. That way we get a accurate idea on if people would use it.

@eka, source is too bad for WCG
