We are very excited to announce the very first UNGL Nations Cup. This is competitive HoN with a twist!

What is the Nations Cup?

Players will have the chance to represent their country and put clan rivalry aside to show Newerth who is truly the best HoN nation out there. This event will see some of the very best players showing off their skills in representing their countries.

How to become a country captain?

Please pm tanKza (http://ungl.org/message/new/10) with your name and the country you wish to represent. The applications will close soon.

How do we choose the captain?

If there is only one application for a given country, then the applicant will most likely become the team captain.

In the event of multiple applications to captain the same country, we will review the list and publish a poll for the user base to give their opinion on who should lead their country into battle. Once the poll closes, we'll review the results and make a final decision on country captains.

Winning the poll does NOT mean you will become the country captain! We know that some countries may vote tactically so the admins will ultimately have the final say :)

Country rosters?

The team captains will have the opportunity to pick his strongest line-up and we will discourage nepotism as much as possible to ensure that this happens. Rosters will be locked during the season and will consist of a maximum of 10 players.

How will it work?

Once the rosters have been finalised, it'll be published on our website. The countries will be divided into multiple groups, where they will play each other in a round robin fashion (best of one). The top x teams from each group will progress into the knockout stage.

x - we will confirm once we know the number of nation entries.

Win: 3 points Draw: 1 pointLoss: 0 points

Knockout stage

All matches during the knockout stage will be played with bo3. The finals will be bo5.

Prizes?

1st: $700

2nd: $200

3rd: $100
