So we see the return of the one night cups for CS:GO! These had proved immensely popular in the past and will serve as a basis for increased cup activity on UNGL.

Dates: 16th April
Slots: 16 Teams
Format: 5vs5
MR 15
Default Loss: After 15 minute delay.

Though there will be no prizes for this cups, teams will receive a trophy on their team page.

16th April - 22:00GMT - BO1 VETO (de_dust2_se, de_mirage_go, de_nuke_se, de_inferno_se, de_train_se)

Teams are encouraged to try and reschedule the final if it's late for either side.

Please take extra care in reviewing the rules of the CS:GO ladder and ensuring you understand these before you enter the cup. Also please note that [b]Libra + POV[/b] demos will be required for every single player. [b]GOTV[/b] also MUST BE RECORDED, and be available on request.

Only sign up to this cup if you can, and intend to, play your fixtures. Is there a risk time might be tight? Then please don't sign up, you may still be entered in to the cup and a default may be given to your opposition. Further to this you may also be blacklisted from future events.

Why would you put the cup on a Tuesday that clashes with ED? >_<

I am pretty sure we have our own community and ED have theirs.

Sure there is a couple of teams which are playing both, but you also have to keep in mind these cups takes efforts and work to administrate, which is why finding the most suitable schedule for UNGL is a higher priority than clashing with other cups around.

It's not like we're going to have a lack of teams to attend. It's quite the opposite to be honest :)

When the UNGL community was offered a chance to vote on which day of the week they'd prefer a cup to take place, I'm sure Tuesday wasn't anywhere near the top. I suppose if the Admins can't be around for any other day then fair enough.

Sure, the poll wasn't made for nothing, but that doesn't necessary mean all our services and cups will be scheduled only on the day that was most preferable on the poll. Considering there is alot of future ideas coming up we have to balance out the week to make room for other things and make sure not to clash our own services together. We can't have everything on a sunday and leave every other day empty.

This is also a one night cup series, which doesn't have any specific date other than when we feel confident to hold them, and there is gonna be more of them. So if you missed this one, you can tune in for the next.

The One Night Cup is not the Weekly Cup that was mentioned in the poll. This cup is merely an extra something to do, since the admins have the time to run it on this particular date.

Is the final a BO1 due to being just a 1 night cup as normally there BO3

Why this cup is for 16 teams? There is now 25 signed up teams? I want bigger cups!

Tournament formats are 8, 16, 32 and 64. With 25 teams entered it is not enough to increase the tournament format. (yet)

But we will do that, if we can get 32 teams signed up soon and that we can be sure most of them aren't dropping out, so we can minimize the amount of WO wins.

Confirming the teams in the cup and adding the fixtures to teams calendars early will help prevent against no shows. Just saying

Honestly, past events have shown it doesn't matter how early we put fixtures as out as we still get plagued by noshows.

There was 30 teams signed up, which 2 of them have confirmed they would not be showing up, which equals to 28 in general and therefore we are forced to do a 16 slot cup.

No, don't trust the (X amount entered) thing as it's not always accurate for a few reasons. There is gonna be more cups coming after this, you and others will get the chance eventually.
