Hello fellow UNGL Members.

I am here to announce my retirement from the UNGL admin scene and must mention that all PM's and problems must now be sent to an admin.

I'd like to thank the UNGL community for giving me the chance to help the league grow and to help plan cups, regulate the community, ban cheaters and undesirables and to just be me.

I should still be active in the community but my admin skills will not be put to sue here as I've been appointed as an ESL Trial admin to help bolster their ranks and progress CSS on their league.

Big thanks to everyone in the UNGL admin team for their support over the last 8 months.

I helped run ESL for 2 years. You'll spend more time adminning then playing.and the senior admins takes all the glory. Not worth the time.

Same here unfortunately. However ESL needs a couple of decent admins over there to start rolling that ball, and getting it moving again.

/sigh UK Scene is a mess. :P

Indeed, ie getting EDCSSL 20 sorted Bradlewis, you know finalising the details, running a few warm up events, getting people active in the ladder. ;)

Didnt realise an event admin needed a basic conflicts admin to help you. Could of just asked on steam ey, Its ok to ask for help if you cant do it Gumpster ;)

Me and Beardedwife left ESL.. then ESL died and we sat and laughed as they tried to get us to come back. But refused as we never actually had time to play as we always had to watch matches :S

Plus considering I was meant to be doing the majority of UK CSS and the EPS/ Div1 I had to ask to do anything, and was always ignored, you get fed up of it.

Tempted to apply for the UNGL stuff.

6 months of running EPS/EMS/EAS/1 Div, Weekly 1on1, 2on2 and 5on5 fun cups, on top of other cups. For free every evening, when other admins getting paid to do nothing.... how would you react? :P

If you expect to be paid or congratulated through being an admin, then you are vastly wrong, and have the wrong idea for being an admin.

If ESL want to pay someone for doing nothing then that's their fault, and nothing you could do aside from doing your best through a league and ladder. I'm sure one day we can share a beer over how frustrating it can be, being an admin. I've unfortunately seen it all, and I know how it feels to be on the end of abuse from players (via ED, iSeries and online qualifier's), yet you don't take it personally and move on and continue to grind out hard work for free.

Perhaps it's just me though.

I don't want congratulations nor did i want to be paid for it. I did it to help improve the UK scene which I did during my time with ESL.
I enjoyed being a admin, and don't regret doing it! and I received so much abuse for teams breaking rules.

I left ESL due Senior admins deciding to bring in two known hackers onto the admin staff and the ESL policy of "Haven't been caught by ESL Wire means they don't hack" despite each player having been banned in every other league and had more than 3 Vac bans each and one these admins actually went through a phase of hacking into team website deleteing everything and posting "NARCOSIS"
Despite my advice given to these Senior admins i was ignored.

I would most likely still be there but I'm not associating myself with people like that. That was my main reason for leaving.
I can deal with the workload easily and did for over 18 months. But hackers as admins no thank you! :D

And yes a beer at lan moaning about admining I use to do alot with other admins from other leagues :D
