I.... I just don't know how to react.
I thought I'd be happy that VG have been knocked off the top spot but having watched the video of their defeat and the subsequent interview over at Cadred.... I just feel awful for them. It's such a surprise to see them perform so poorly after such outstanding play at events both online and at LAN.
What are peoples thoughts on this? In my opinion VG have done so much for the scene, I wonder if they've simply become too complacent and almost bored with the fact that they really haven't had that much competition in past months.
Although I think it is in part down to the split of the 'core' VG line-up, I'd like to think that instead what has happened is that other teams have upped their game and been inspired by Verygames to work harder and commit themselves more to being the best.
Maybe I'm just being optimistic.
Thoughts?
