UKGather has now been aquired by *************. Because of which the IRC channel is now #gameplaymixes and I am opening this to all of the European community.

Come along and play, we are currently in the process of developing a website with prizes for people as well. Invite everyone you know #GamePlayMixes @ Quakenet

I will get full tutorials up asap, for the moment you can just ask on IRC and I will show you how to do anything if you're unsure

It's a good idea as long as you can get enough players behind you, I'm interested enough such that I will idle in the channel (not mentioned above) when active, will participate and help where required.

I know that the swedish community has one of these as I'm swedish myself, it's called '#whatzup.gather' - swedish players, feel free to join. It's a really nice system and I think it'd work for the UK community, just make ragequitters banned and you'll be fine! ;)))
