anyone know why it seems more hazy / misty since I've got new pc?

Is it a config command or setting to get rid of?

dx 81 gets rid of it

edit: Or if you have an ATI

maybe having better pc or gfx can effect that

EDIT: Try turning down some shadow settings or something

Changing the r_pixelfog setting can sometimes help.

i had this issue , it was so bad i couldnt see long from A site:/ i removed my autoconfig, whacked everything up to full played a few rounds on a public server then put my config back in and it had disappeared.

absolutely no idea why this fixed it but it did

My fog is nowhere near as bad as yours and I'm using the 560 ti :/

Just auto-config'd my game and took a screenshot in the same place as yours. The only thing I changed was the resolution and refresh rate.

 steven-
Not got it in my autoexec, used that .reg file regnam uses with his cfg.

Yer I downloaded the regnam config and got this smoke, played with a few settings now its sorted. dx level might not change it as it didn't for me.

You should set it to the highest setting you can, it will show all the available settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel under Display -> Change Resolutions. (It's the drop down box to the right of the resolutions)

However it has no effect on fog.
