So VG bossed it, 16-6 or some s***. What do you guys make of it?

Personally, VG always needed a real awper, and have that now in kennyS, pressure is off Ex6 cos he can use proper strats rather than having to rely on himself or NBk for the awp picks, now the team will be settled, with strong calling, gonna be #1 come next big event.

Think it's a bit bold to say that no one will be getting close to VG again.

The turnout teams wise at CPH was outstanding. At I45 however VG were playing against a smaller collection of arguably not as good teams at an event with less publicity than CPH.

In all honesty I'm happy to see VG back on top and holding on to the iseries crown, just a shame they did it in quite an average manner. It was more like they were soldiering on rather than playing with finesse and style - that said, this was very much an event they NEEDED to win. It was more a tick box exercise to restore confidence more than anything else.

EDIT : Does anyone know whether they played with sponsor gear this time round? Or did they stick to personal kit?

Mousesports would probably have won if they attended, sorry to say.

Using the razer gear again, suppose it's in the contracts that they have to play with it.

I think it was all down to experience at the end of the day. In terms of skill and aim all of the players are fairly even, I think in the end Ex6 was the person (the factor) that made VG a more compatible and effective side despite their new lineup

Don't think it's fair to say the skill and aim of all the players involved were even. Having LAN experience means that you're able to control your ability under pressure, therefore the skill wouldn't have been equal.

I think one of the comments on Cadred summed it up best, something along the lines of: TT relied on individual brilliance whereas VG relied on all of the team pulling their weight.

I hate to agree with you ;) but kinda have to agree, there were some good games, but with some top names missing from UK the French just stole the show, I know there was one close game between FM and TT, but apart from that there were not many other close games between the top teams. From what I saw VG were just dominating throughout, no team really appeared to make them sweat that much. There was a good game between FM and CRG, but then the winners really would have to play TT next and FM had already lost to them 16-2, and even though the game was close 16-14 the result was more than likely predictable by many.

to be honest though, I do think myself and probably a lot of others have been spoilt by the master class that was CPHG. Nothing will compare to that final >:P

Can honestly say I didn't catch that game, I can only go by the score which was 16-9, which we can assume wasn't exactly a whitewash, but I can't imagine it was nail bitingly close either, which I think was lacking at the event =[ But like I said I think I've been spoilt from CPHG >:P
