Hey all, rizeGaming org is starting a up a new Counter Strike Source team to compete in UNGL. We want sociable people who are up for a laugh and enjoy mixing etc.

We're +3 btw, so be prepared to be trialing alongside potential teammates.
I understand this process is more difficult than when we're just +1, so be sensible when considering us, all the information is here.

May want to be careful with the name, rize is a well known gaming organisation from a few years back. They may not be actually an org at the moment but people will still know the name :)

Hi Bret, we've been going since 2010, we've not just started the Org today. Plus the "org" you refer to is now called Rize Nexus they are a similar company to Xippy and ClanBug that host clan websites. They have a team in Brink, don't think I'll be worrying any time soon, as their Counter Strike team is Team Sypher.

h L k, they're not - that's just a seperate entity - I'm well aware of who they are as they also sponsoring us at fm-eSports. Not trying to be a dick, but people can be a bit funny about names, rize were quite big and the name is still alive in their other projects. Just saying!

Ok Bret, I'll just double clarify we've been going from 2010 and no-one has said anything about RIZE NEXUS, which by the way isn't the same as rizeGaming. I'll keep you posted if they do.

They are called riZe nexus now, but they used riZe / riZe gaming from 2004. So ya cool 2010 oldskool son. How about u rock 3D, they dont use it these days so u good to go!

Yeh i remember the riZe from years ago bit more further back than 2010.

At the end of the day how many clans have the same name as eachother...Does it really matter if rize has the same name as a clan that happened to have that name in 2004... Just because they started a clan called rize in 2010 doesn't mean they haven't played since 2004.. so they could be old school?

Anyway im thinking of making a clan called 4K anyone in?

I think originally it was stated for general advice, I don't think anyone got shirty about it, but it's been turned that way by response.

Albeit in general teams sense, names may rinse and repeat, but if teams/orgs brand a name in the higher echelons, then you MAY have issues in the future.

Noone got shirty, I was just making a joke since it seemed a bit late to suddenly bring this up, I'm not stating any means that 2010 is a long time.. but it is 2 years ago.. we're not a new clan looking to start with new players but as I'm new to Forum posting on here - it may appear that way

So I'm sure a few people think I've just come out of the blue, but my name hasn't always been hLk, Scott (bearded) doesn't remember me but I remember him very well, before he created Evil Deeds. I did a bit of looking up for rize before I went ahead with it, and let's be fair, if we suddenly shot up into this Upper Echelon MiCk mentions, it's not too difficult to change names.

Keep on topic please, this is a recruitment thread, not a flame fest. Anyone posting off topic will be gagged for a month.
