Hi guys, I'm writing this because I've really gotten used to Csgo since the beta, but what I really can't get used to is the Sound. There is a number of things that are either distracting, disorientating, or misleading. The sound on Css wasn't perfect, but at least my actions could be predetermined by what I was hearing, closing enemies coming round a corner for example. The devs were talking up all this horse-scheiße EXPLAINING to us how important sound is in CS.. slightly awkward then for it seemingly to be optimized for a TV with speaker system.

So more to what I'm really after, they posted an update about Sound Spatialization. They were talking about having complete control over the virtual sound.

Ok then, so I went and had a look, and it seems they are referring to be able to switch between, Headset, 1 speaker - 5.1 speaker setup. lol.

There has to be some more to this, and if there is, I wouldn't mind someone sharing their commands, or config they have worked out based on this. If not, I think they really need to start answering me on Twitter :P

Cheers

exactly, I'm going to keep routing around to see if there's a solution, because they clearly said there is an update coming for it, and it never happened

They updated the sound, and forgot to include range in it. They're trying to work it out I guess, as an update is yet to be rolled out for it.

Completely agree with this + you can't hear the difference between aps (wooden floor) and a regular floor. it all sounds the same.. (this is only an example)

I agree with this and all the knifing sounds need to be worked on. I.e knifing a stone wall or something sounds like knifing a sandy surface or near to the same sound
