With a couple of long term players quitting, but a desire for the rest of us to keep playing, we're revamping the squad and bringing back the name to the UK CS:GO scene
The general idea is to circumvent the usual complications that cause teams to fold; Activity, Lack of progress, Team spirit & a comfortable environment to play in
Our team model will be based around a squad of 6-7 players that meet these requirements:
* ESTABLISHED LOWER-LEVEL PLAYERS IN THE UK SCENE - 'Been around' for a while, played previous CS games etc, we have to be comfortable that your aim, teamwork, Patience and general level-headedness wont be an issue long-term.
* WILLINGNESS TO RESEARCH & PRACTICE STRATEGY - Without getting bored within 30 minutes and team killing each other.
* RELIABILITY AND COMPROMISE - With this team model you may not be able to play every ladder/cup game but we expect you to remain dedicated and receptive regardless.
* COMPOSURE - No raging because we lost an important round, no getting defencive and being a bitch because you made a mistake and can't take some criticism on the chin.
* PRE/POST GAME MOTIVATED - Before games it's up to you to do whatever you do to feel like you're ready to give 100%, after wins and losses we must discuss what went right and wrong and what we're going to do different in the future. Don't just rage quit off the server when we lose then go AFK and play with your dick making no effort to learn from mistakes and improve.
* ACTIVITY - We understand people have to put real life first but you have to understand replacing someone in the roster requires reiterating everything we'd already established with you. If your RL situation isn't stable and you don't feel like you're able to commit to the team long-term then don't bother adding.
* EMPATHY - Ironically empathising with your team and opponents is a key factor to a successful team in the world of face shooting games. If you're a narrow minded fuckwit you wont make this team and you probably wont make it anywhere in anything ever.
* EQUIPMENT - This one isn't so important but we obviously don't want to be held back by people with their poundland mice and dial-up AOL connection. If you're half good at the game you probably already have this covered.
* COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE BARRIERS - We don't mind players that aren't based in the UK, but you must be able to speak good English and communicate properly. Calling your whole death-cam and providing your own insight is a must.
It sounds like a lot to expect but anyone that's played the game for long enough and isn't a complete twat can tick all these boxes to a reasonable degree. In exchange we'll provide you with:
* DEDICATED GAME/VOIP SERVER - Not a shitty e-PC hosted on your neighbours wifi, a real dedicated server box in a real data-centre with realistic hitreg.
* ACTIVE TEAM MODEL - We should be going keen almost every night. Take into consideration that the team will be more casual than a core 5 team but when we're on for a keen night of gaming it's serious mode, no pissing about.
* REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS - We're not going to give up and fold because we're not amazing within a month. We should mutually understand patience and hard work is eventually rewarded.
* STRATEGY - We'll do the boring parts, you just have to learn and execute the tactics as the caller expects. However we encourage you to pitch your own ideas.
