Hey guys, Distortion.CSS are recruiting +2 for one of our war teams. The organisation was originally created to be one large community with the odd mix here and there, but due to changes of attitudes we've decided to expand on that original idea, and are now in the process of recruiting players/teams to play Source under our orgs name.
So what can we offer you?
- Well we currently hold a Dedi box with Verygames, granting us access to 10 servers.
- We have a Teamspeak with plenty of room
- You'd have an experienced manager, playing since the early days of Source, among other games, so he is open and happy to help with most things
- A great community. From the social side of things we've gathered a collection of some great lads who know how to have a laugh and make it a great atmosphere on teamspeak
- We do have members who attend LANs (e.g. In May) so if that's your scene, then you wouldn't be left on your own
There are many more things that we can offer you as a part of our community, and we're always happy to help our members with any issues they may have - in or out of game.
Although this post is based around recruiting members for the competitive side of the organisation, you are always welcome to join for the casual mixes, teamspeak laughs and awkward sex stories (Han?).
We are a fairly open group and take a majority of the people who apply to us, although with higher goals come greater requirements. Therefore we've created a list of what we feel are fair and maintainable 'demands'.
Competitive side
- Be fairly active, we want to see you competing in Leagues and events - maybe not from day one, because we want to give you time to find your feet, but we want some results for the work we've put in.
- Limited raging. We all understand that the person who seems dodgey in that mix really gets on your tits, but hardcore raging is bad for morale, and it usually winds up with someone telling the rager to shut up and do one, which doesn't really help us grow by any means :P.
- Age. We don't restrict people/teams by age, but we'd prefer to have some guys who know what they want. This has only been implemented due to an old team we had folding as they didn't share similar aims.
- Keep flaming to a minimum in officials :P
- Be active on teamspeak
- Get involved with the other members of Distortion
Social
- Have fun
- Get involved with Han's awkward kareoke nights.
- Be active on teamspeak
- Do whatever you need to do to have fun, as long as it doesn't involve tarnishing the Distortion name. (Or being a bellend)
I know this was long winded but I don't want people rushing into us thinking they're getting everything for nothing. We are recruiting competitive teams to play under our name and despite how lenient we are, we do want results.
