i've seen loads of good ones, and i thought you actually comminty might know a bit more :) dont trust reviews these days, could rant on for ages about that rofl
strongly wouldn't recommend it, if you buy this it is likely to breaks lots of faults, also the customer service is pretty poor so don't expect a refund. I consider myself an expert in this field, and if your looking for a half decent 7.1 headset I would suggest the siberia v2, its an extra 20£ but there is a reason why its used by so many 'pro gamers'. I am currently using the 7h and I love that headset, also the customer care from steelseries is fantastic... well worth an extra 20£, also have a look around ebay for a steelseries usb sound card, they usually go very cheap and if you are not using a 7.1 inbuilt sound card then I strongly suggest getting a usb one...
MUCH LOVE...
budget £50 inc VAT usage, mainly gaming, music, films. some stupid wireless one, and thank you
HugzZILA
i might get my old fatal1tys
I absolutely loved the 367's such a nice cheap headset and didnt break for about 1yr.
oh i wont take these out, other than lan ect ect, i use small inear ones for that :P and yea, i do mean the normal ones :)
get the standard fatal1ty one with a steelseries usb soundcard this is what I used before i had the 7h, and the difference is not that great, thats around 50£ for both
what sort of faults can you mention hugzy? for the 7.1 i mean
loose connections in wires, bad magnet contrast ratio... i have never had this headset but my mate had, after a month only one side of the headset worked
get this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-035-SL
then save up some pocket money and get a usb soundcard, you can thank me later
i#ve looked at a load of revieew for that 7.1 and not found a bad thing about it.. are you ure it wasnt just a bad experience your friend had?
your buying a headset for css? yes, do you know the difference between 7.1 and 5.1?
nore speakers in the earphones i guess lal, not a technical person, i jsut lookat at numbers and go, ah, sounds cool! :P i assume it is todo with the speakers in the earphones, and not just css, other games such as cod and whatnot
im going to bed now so I will just finish this here. At the moment lots of the 7.1 headsets are not true 7.1 and you can find better sound quality in 5.1 headsets, for example I think that the headset you have chosen's quality will be the same as lets say the standard fatal1ty headset but your paying a lot more for it just to be 7.1. The true 5.1 surround sound ones are better then the 7.1 (not complete) surround sound ones, its exactly the same when they first brought out hd tv's 720p was good but a high contrast ratio without the hd produced a better picture.
To cut this down, the technology in 5.1 headsets is far more advanced at the moment, If i was to buy a new headset now, I would get the Tritton ax pro, its 5.1 and its true 5.1 and is proven better then all 7.1 headsets on the market (excluding that new one which is true 7.1, i forget the name but its like 300£). The link I sent you earlier is a good headset if your looking to have good ingame sound, dont just look for 7.1 clarity is more important then 360 positioning which dosn't even work with half the 7.1's on the market
INFACT THIS IS BETTER

alright, will ask some q's tomorrow if thats alright? :P
"This headset it just amazing. I had the creative fatality and speedlink medusa headsets before i purchased this and this blows both of them away for sound quality and comfortability. Definitely recommended as the best headset in this price range." REAL CUSTOMER REVIEWS NOT SOME PAYED OFF WEBSITE
yeah sorry for my rant i'm off to bed
is it usb hughzy? im looking for a good one too as i only have integrated sound on my pc and my old headset has died
this is not usb, you will have to buy the usb sound card separately, they do a package together which is about 70£, I have the 7h with the usb sound card, and I have tried the v2's and the sound quality is better, one thing i love about steelseries is that they always strive for perfection, and their customer services are very good, each headset comes with a 2 year warranty...
going with that steelseries headset you suggested :) cheers for the help guys!! :)
glad you made the right choice
my case is rested
fkin poor noob
who you talkin about rob?
duno
ordered and waiting for delivery!! :)
Get a proper Sennheiser headsett...
HD555 + clip on mic
Concker
Im not so impressed with Sennheiser, the 350 was great and i felt the 360 was a bit of a let down, it appeared that they only changed its appearance
keep the thread open dazzy :) i'm sure many other people will find this info useful :)
Well no. 350 is a closed headsett, 360 is a open air headsett, Lot diffrent.
Thing is with high end sennheisers you cant get propper sound from a normal soundcard.
Im running mine true an hifi amp to get the propper watt's needed to let the headsetts shine.
Miles ahead of the other plastic crap that gets released by "newer" companies
are you suggesting that the fact that its an open air headset justifies them pricing it so much higher then the pc350 when spec wise they are basically the same
HugzZILA
Dno the price in uk, but here they are only like 15euro more.
Anyways i like them better since open air, and still same sound as 350.
But them again the 360 is superb for home use, for Lans i wud choose the 350
