just passing this on from cadred, neil & zed from fm-esports have now set up a cadred gather system in an attempt to rekindle the next to dead uk scene, http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/188904/ - post your IRC nick NOT YOUR AUTH and you will be invited to the gather channel.

for those who do not have a nick, follow these instructions http://wiki.soldat.nl/IRC_tutorial#Registering_with_Quakenet

also once you leave the channel/turn your pc off/internet disconnects or anything that disocnnects you from IRC, you will need to be reinvited to the channel, so your best bet is to buy a BNC which more of less keeps you logged in the channel when you're disconnected from it meaning you wont have to be reinvited, if someone messages you, the messages will appear once you log back in, they cost no more than a few quid a month, so it's worth it imo.

support this please if you want a stronger uk scene.

About time the UK scene livens up.

UK scene used to be the biggest scene going back in 2003/2004... theres not much communitys that relaly follow UK teams nowadays.

on that note, im looking to help the scene aswell by setting up a community just like eck/pub/ck if anyone is interested in funding and running it give me a shout!

good luck with that fella be good to see everyone getting back into the scene and have some top UK Teams again. Needa get some sponsors.

CSGO is great imho, it's come on in leaps and bounds since the beta. One of the biggest challenges for us has been choosing a new place to play after ED collapsed. UNGL looks really good, and community-driven initiatives like the above will definitely make the UK scene stronger.

Problem with ungl is there content with sticking with source as well when they should be pushing the community side of GO seems like a wasted opportunity and is splitting the ungl userbase.
