what are your guys opinions on the best? looking to buy a server soonish, just wondering what the opinions are

For uk probably RTL then maybe verygames but their a bit hit and miss.

In my experience RTL is a better choice if planning to play against people outside the UK, Scandinavia seems to have some problems with latency and choke on verygames servers.

RTL is a bit too pricey lol

what about Dream servers? they look alright? their 1000fps servers

All the big ones like RTL/VG are really always uber laggy and regless for me idk why :S

think qwe're goin for verygames, £10 for 10 slot mumble, 12 slot server and a site with the cssmixes offer ;>

tbh mate, weve had a server from every provider out there, and theres always been a issue, had one not long ago from verygames, kept crashing (brand new) then went to another provider laggy as hell for all of us, then we got one from verygames again one of there top servers apparently and it runs ok and its from germany << ROFL how ****ed up is that

Been using a VERYGAMES server for the last 2 months and had no problems with it whatsoever. UK hosted, low pings, no complaints about reg. Not much else to say apart from the fact that I would deffo use them again.

Even the cheapest bog standard ones are ace... you'd have to be mad to splash out £40 for a server :/

Tbh I think it could actually have something with ISP.
Because like I get 50 ping on some portugese server with BT and my mate gets 80 with Virgin.
But I get 50 ping on some UK servers with BT and he gets 20 with Virgin...

So yeh :/

Yeah BT are ****, but when we moved back from Dubai last summer we took a friend of ours opinion and he said BT...
We then realised that BT were wank, and cant terminate our contract until like June/July.
When we do terminate it, I think my dad might go for Virgin as it's fibre optic etc.
I heard a lot of people get ping spikes n **** with Virgin as it has like peak times etc, but i'd choose Virgin 1mb/sec dl speed with abit of higher ping at peak times over BT 200kb/sec dl speed with double the ping of the Virgin one everywhere...
As for Be*, apparently theyre like the best for gaming or something, but if Virgin works out cheaper (coz with line rental etc) then my dad might go for tht idk.
All I know is that we probs won't stick with BT ;>
