Yep, that's right. The original CS:S Team Memento have decided to reform after one of our original players has returned to CS:S.
The original team started in mid September 2010 and carried on all the way upto early February 2011. Our original fifth was from Sweden, meaning we couldn't enter any EAS etc of any sort.
After the original team folded, Killa CS:S quit, and so did Glocket. marKo had left to join a local Serbian team, which left myself & PandawaN.
Four months later, myself & PandawaN have still not found any team - we've trialled for many and been accepted in the majority, however turned down the offers for several reasons.
Two days ago, Killa told us that he was going to return to CS:S and the idea started that if we could get marKo from his current team Rasta.DmG to possibly consider giving the original Memento another shot, then all we would need is a fifth.
We all got together on mumble and decided that we wanted to give this another shot. However, this time we want to take things slow and stop thinking too far ahead into the future like ‘when are we going to EAS’ etc. We want to get everything sorted in the first three months, such as default strats – ensure everybody knows them off by heart and can perfect them etc. We also want to spend more time going through strats, and then going into a game or two in order to try them out as opposed to playing 5 games a day without any sort of organization and just ending up losing.
Over the summer, we want to play as much as possible everyday to pick up where we last left off. However, we’re currently in the tough position where we need to decide whether our 5th is going to be from the UK so that it keeps us on line for 3 UK players (since Killa will be moving to the UK after the summer) which means that hopefully over the summer we’d have everything sorted out and we’d be ready to start UK EAS Div 2. Or whether we want to get a 5th from any nationality, and then once we’re ready to enter EAS Div 2, we’re stuck with having to get rid of a player…
We obviously think finding a UK 5th is a better idea.
What we want from you?
- Residing in the United Kingdom.
- Notable past teams.
- Able to put up with mixed nationalities. (We all speak English just as well as you do)
- Friendly.
- Call everything you see, hear and most importantly smell. (Unless its myself sat in A pit eating toast and I happen to fart.)
- Be prepared to sit on our server for hours just trying to ‘invent’ and go through strats & smokes.
- High Skilled.
- Creative & talkative in-game.
- Capable of analysing the situation in-game and able to capitalize on it.
- Be aggressive as a terrorist. We don’t want somebody who hangs around the map waiting for somebody else to get the opening frag. Use your smokes, flashes, etc be creative, talk with the players around you and be prepared to risk your life. Even if you die, at least you can then die by dealing some damage and telling us where the opposition are playing.
